Attending the wedding of Alex and Terena.

The invitation came more than five months early, enough time for us to decide and plan for the long trip to the States.
The wedding ceremony was held a week earlier at the Rocky Mountains, Colorado. Their marriage was solemnised there, attended by the couple's close family members.
The couple look stunning in the wedding outfit.
A marriage made in heavens.
The elegant bride.
It's an outdoor photo shoot.

The wedding reception on 5th July 2019 is held at
The Catalina's Room,
Redondo Beach,
California.
Yvonne and I outside The Catalina's Room.
The welcome sign at the reception.
The reception desk.
The Catalina's Room.
Photo booth is a novelty for events like this.
That's for our souvenir.
Yvonne at the reception desk.
It's meant to be a fun party, that's why the dance floor is at the center stage with tables around it.
It's early and the ladies are not wasting anytime to have some photographs taken.
Mother and daughter.
With Jamie whom we seldom meet as she stays in Hawaii.
We see Jamie grew up since birth and now she's a mother herself.
Parents with Jim and Janice.
With Jessie and Lilian.
Janice and Yvonne.
Terena towering over the rest.
Except for Jessie, all the rest are residing here at the States.
Parents are more accustomed to the traditional Chinese wedding reception.
Alex had reminded all that it is a casual party, dress code is casual, but none of us are having any of it.
The hall was soon filled up with the arrivals of guests comprising of close friends and families.
Jim welcoming everybody and a reminder for us to have fun.
Table where parents are seated.
Adjacent is where we sit.
Terena welcoming her grand parents in law.
Trenton and Jamie having a catch up with the grannies.
Everybody was on the floor when the music starts.
It's a fun party for everyone, any age.
Yvonne taking a break after a while.
See it live.
We have to make some noise with that Yam Seng toast.
All in a family.

My sister wanted to maintain the traditional tea ceremony and also allow Alex American relatives to partake in it. That was held the following day at Debbie's residence.
My parents being the oldest in rank have the honour of being served first.
Jim and Janice being parents to the groom were next.
Jim is accustomed to this tradition having being in Malaysia and Asia in his earlier years.
Yvonne and I having the honor too.
Our gift to them is an Ang Pow for the groom and necklace and pendant for the bride.
And a photo taken with them.
Debbie and MK taking their turn.
And the wedding gift follow suit, another necklace.
Tina and TC presenting their gift, necklace for the bride too.
And a photo for memory.
Jamie and Alex are cousins.
Alex brother's family are excited at the ceremony.
The kids quizzical look.
East meets West: Alex's family from the American side experiencing the Eastern culture.
It sure taste different from beer.
The practice of tea ceremony in weddings are traced back 1,200 years ago to the Tang Dynasty.
Tea is served to both sides of the families as a significant way to show respect from the newly wedded couple.
Photography time again. Stephen and Jo with the newly weds.
Looking great in their Chinese dress.
A great family photo with the grandparents.
An opportunity to have our own family photo again.
It's time to sample the Eastern fare which were prepared by all my sisters.
The children are content to have a game by themselves. Soon after, everyone decides to take leave from a wonderful day.

Another day later, the five of us have to leave for home too. The two weeks came and go so fast when we said our goodbyes. This trip have plenty of good moments and we returned home to a bagful of wonderful memories.
